Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Langell Valley Irrigation District’s Proposed Tree Removal Project

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact that will allow the removal of mature trees along 7.47 miles of Klamath Project facilities within the boundaries of Langell Valley Irrigation District in Klamath County.

The project includes removal and proper disposal of the trees and reconstruction of canals and/or laterals affected by the removal of large tree root systems. The work will be performed when no irrigation water is present in the affected facilities. Tree removal is proposed to begin February 2016 and continue into fall of 2018.
