Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Long-term Water Transfers to Serve the Millerton New Town Development

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review Draft Environmental Documents for the proposed long-term water transfers by Arvin-Edison Water Storage District, Lower Tule River Irrigation District, and Terra Bella River Irrigation District to the County of Fresno for delivery to the proposed Millerton New Town Development; an 820 acre housing development on the North and South sides of Millerton Road. Reclamation would also approve the delivery of Central Valley Project municipal and industrial water to additional areas within the County of Fresno.

The Draft Environmental Assessment and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=24458.
