Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents for Grazing Authorization for Retired Lands in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. -The Bureau of Reclamation released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the issuance of a land use authorization, which will provide access to and allow for grazing of approximately 2,190 acres of land in Fresno, County.

The land use authorization will provide access to acreage located in the Tranquility Demonstration Project site for sheep and goats over a 10 year period. Grazing units will be alternately grazed and rested in a planned sequence throughout the growing season to increase production and quality of forage as well as to meet Reclamation’s need for weed control and fire suppression.
