Boulder City, Nev. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Region (LCR) is seeking cost-share funding proposals with eligible non-federal stakeholders within the Lower Colorado River Basin as part of the Water Conservation Field Services Program (WCFSP) program. In 2016, Reclamation anticipates it will provide approximately $800,000 dollars in federal cost-share funding for eight to fifteen awards, depending on submittals and approval of a Congressionally authorized budget. To be eligible to participate in the program, the project must be located in the Lower Colorado Region and have a defined relationship to an authorized Reclamation project. Eligible entities include States, Native American Tribes, irrigation and water districts, or other similar organizations with water or power delivery authority or mandates. Projects selected for funding through the WCFSP will be selected through a competitive review/award process.

In 2016, Reclamation is limiting the total of federal funding available to each successful applicant to no more than $100,000 on a cost-sharing basis. Organizations interested in submitting funding proposals should refer to the full announcement at: http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=280231.

Eligible applicants submitting proposals through the program are required to provide 50 percent or more in matching non-federal funds to be eligible to receive the Federal funding. Applications are due by January 22, 2016.

All proposals submitted to Reclamation are subject to a determination by Reclamation that 2016 appropriations are available and that awards can be made consistent with all program requirements. Reclamation anticipates awards of financial assistance to applicants who successfully pass all pre-award requirements on or before June 2016.
