Reclamation Releases the Final Environmental Assessment for Piping the Cattleman’s Ditches

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that it has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact on the Cattleman’s Ditches Pipeline Project located in Montrose County, Colorado.

The project will replace approximately 8.5 miles of open irrigation ditch with 6.4 miles of buried water pipeline. The purpose of the project is to improve the efficiency of water delivery to canal users and reduce salinity loading in the Colorado River Basin.
