Reclamation Begins San Juan-Chama Repayment Negotiations

Santa Fe, NM. – Reclamation’s Albuquerque Area Office announced today that it will initiate negotiations on a proposed repayment contract for the San Juan-Chama Project with the Pueblos of Nambe, Pojoaque, Tesuque and the Pueblo de San Ildefonso for the statutory allocation of project water as part of the Aamodt Litigation Settlement.

The contract to be negotiated will provide for storage and delivery of project water, and provide for payment of costs for the operation and maintenance of the project.

The first negotiation meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Camel Rock Showroom, 17486A Co Road 84, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87506.

All negotiations are open to the public as observers and the public will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer comments pertaining to the contract during a thirty minute comment period following the negotiation session.
