Draft EA/FONSI Available for the Central Valley Project Interim Renewal Contract for Cross Valley Contractors 2016-2018

FRESNO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for the Central Valley Project Interim Renewal Contract for Cross Valley Contractors 2016-2018.

Interim renewal contacts are authorized by the Central Valley Project Improvement Act to provide a bridge between the expiration of the original long-term water service contracts and long-term renewal of those contracts. Each of the interim renewal contracts would be renewed for up to two years beginning March 1, 2016.

The Draft EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=23149.
