The Bureau of Reclamation issued a Finding of No Significant Impact and the final Environmental Assessment for the Cold Creek Culvert Adult Fish Passage Enhancements project. The project area is about three miles southeast of Snoqualmie Pass along the Keechelus Reservoir in Washington state.

The purpose of the proposed action is to fulfill the requirements of a mitigation agreement between Reclamation and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife resulting from the Safety of Dams work completed at Keechelus Dam. Reclamation will construct a fish passage facility at Cold Creek.

The two alternatives include a No Action, which assumes that no federal action will take place; and a second alternative of installing a step-pool boulder weir within a new downstream channel. This alternative consists of constructing a new earthen stream channel with boulder weirs downstream of the existing culvert.
