FOLSOM, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Environmental Assessment for the execution of a temporary Warren Act contract with the Santa Clara Valley Water District, to allow for the storage and conveyance of non-Central Valley Project water from Foresthill Public Utility District Sugar Pine Reservoir in Folsom Reservoir and Lake Natoma.

Reclamation proposes to enter into a temporary WA contract with SCVWD to allow for the storage and conveyance of 2,000 acre-feet-per year of FPUDs Sugar Pine Reservoir water. The Proposed Action would authorize the use of the federally-owned Folsom Reservoir and Lake Natoma for storage and conveyance of the FPUD transfer water. The state-owned Harvey O. Banks Pumping Plant and South Bay Aqueduct would be utilized to convey the water to SCVWD.
