Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents for 5-year Warren Act Contract for Conveyance and Storage of Groundwater within Friant Division Facilities

FRESNO, Calif. – TheBureau of Reclamation has released final environmental documents on the issuance of a five-year Warren Act contract for the conveyance and storage of non-Central Valley Project water from within Friant Division facilities to Friant Division and Cross Valley contractors located within Fresno County, California.

The source of the non-CVP water used for storage and conveyance would be groundwater pumped from existing wells beneath Flyin’ J Ranch.

The Final Environmental Assessment and Findings of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=19721.
