Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents for Two Central Valley Project Interim Renewal Contracts

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released final environmental documents on the proposed renewal of San Luis Unit Central Valley Project interim renewal contracts for Panoche Water District and San Luis Water District.
Interim renewal contracts are undertaken under the authority of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act to provide a bridge between the expiration of the original long-term water service contracts and long-term renewal of those contracts. Each of the interim renewal contracts would be renewed for up to two years beginning March 1, 2015.
The Final Environmental Assessment and Findings of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=19961.
