Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents for Warren Act Contracts

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released final environmental documents on the proposed issuance of a series of temporary Warren Act contracts to Byron-Bethany Irrigation District, Banta-Carbona Irrigation District, and Patterson Irrigation District.

The annual conveyance of up to 10,000 acre-feet of their respective pre-1914 San Joaquin River water into the Delta-Mendota Canal. The Warren Contracts for Byron-Bethany Irrigation District and Banta-Carbona Irrigation District will be from January 2015 through December 2045 and from September 2015 through August 2046 for Patterson Irrigation District.

The Final Environmental Assessment and Findings of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=20221.
