Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Proposed Warren Act Contracts for Conveyance and Storage

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental documents for the proposed issuance of a series of temporary Warren Act contracts to Byron-Bethany Irrigation District, Banta-Carbona Irrigation District and Patterson Irrigation District.

The Warren Act contracts would allow annual conveyance of up to 10,000 acre-feet of their respective pre-1914 San Joaquin River water into the Delta-Mendota Canal from January 2015 through December 2045 for Banta-Carbona Irrigation District and Byron-Bethany Irrigation District and from September 2015 through August 2046 for Patterson Irrigation District.

The Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=20221.
