Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Proposed Warren Act Contracts for West Stanislaus Irrigation District

FRESNO, Calif. -The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review a Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the proposed issuance of a series of five-year temporary Warren Act contracts to West Stanislaus Irrigation District.

The proposed contracts would allow for the annual conveyance of up to 10,000 acre-feet of the district’s post-1914 San Joaquin River water into the Delta-Mendota Canal beginning in January 2015 and ending on December 31, 2045.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=20081.
