Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Inclusion of Planned Development into Contra Costa Water District Service Area

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review draft environmental documents for inclusion of a proposed 140-acre, mixed-use development into the Contra Costa Water District’s service area.

The proposed inclusion in Oakley, Calif., would allow CCWD to provide Central Valley Project water to the planned development, which would include up to 578 residential units; about 24 acres of commercial uses;  and about 10 acres of park, storm-water pond areas, and trails. Water provided to the property would come from the water district’s existing CVP supply.

A Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://intra.mp.usbr.gov/nepaadmin/projectEdit.cfm?project_ID=19201&CFID=154010&CFTOKEN=19632371.
