Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents on the Temporary Transfer of CVP Water from the City of Redding to the Bella Vista Water District

SHASTA LAKE, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Temporary Transfer of Central Valley Project Water from the City of Redding to the Bella Vista Water District.
This action approves a temporary transfer of up to 1,200 acre-feet of CVP water from the City of Redding to the Bella Vista Water District to alleviate an unexpected shortfall in water supply for municipal and industrial needs of the areas served by the District. The water would be transferred from July through October 2014 at the District’s Wintu Pump Station, located approximately 5 miles downstream of Keswick Dam.
