Reclamation to Hold Lake Berryessa Community Forum Meeting on June 18 at Winters Community Center

NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation will hold a meeting of the Lake Berryessa Community Forum on Wednesday, June 18. Forum meetings are designed to promote public input on recreation opportunities and services at Lake Berryessa, the reservoir for Reclamation’s Solano Project. The public is invited to attend the Forum meeting which will be held:

From 6 p.m. to approximately 7 p.m., Reclamation will provide status updates on recreation services, trail maintenance, Eastside management planning and the long-term planning processes. From 7-8 p.m., the public will be able to view conceptual plans for the lake’s recreation areas and discuss long-term concession development. The meeting agenda and conceptual plans will be posted on the Lake Berryessa website on Tuesday, June 17.

As part of Reclamation’s continued implementation of the Record of Decision for Future Recreation Use and Operations of Lake Berryessa (http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/documentShow.cfm?Doc_ID=2745), Reclamation is involved in a commercial services planning process that will culminate in the development and management of necessary and appropriate long-term recreation facilities and services at five Lake Berryessa concession areas. The planning process is identifying the appropriate mix of services and facilities that will be financially feasible and sustainable over the term of new long-term concession contracts.
