Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Improvements to the U.S. Forest Service Fire Station at Lake Casitas

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for upgrades to the U.S. Forest Service fire station at Lake Casitas in Ventura County.

The Forest Service’s improvements include relocation of a sanitary leach line, installation of a 10,000 gallon water storage tank, clearing land for additional helipads, and installing new security fencing.

The Draft EA and FONSI were released for public comment from Feb. 11 to March 13, 2014. No comments were received during the comment period.

The environmental documents were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=16441.
