Bid Opening Announced for Klamath Project Lease Lands

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Bureau of Reclamation announces that sealed bids for agricultural leasing of 34 parcels of federal lease lands, totaling 4,822 acres, will continue to be received until 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Klamath Basin Area Office. A public bid opening will be held at the office at 10 a.m. the same day.

Open for bid in Area K on the Lower Klamath federal lease lands in Oregon are five grass lots and 10 grain lots. Open for bid on the Tule Lake federal lease lands in California are seven lots in Sump 2 and 12 lots in Sump 3. Some lots include alfalfa while others are suitable for potatoes, onions and grain. Additionally, of the available lease lands, 215 acres may qualify for organic production.
