Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for New Connection to Hollister Conduit for West Hills Water Treatment Plant

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review a draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for a new connection to the Hollister Conduit as proposed by the San Benito County Water District.

The connection would allow delivery of SBCWD’s Central Valley Project water to a new municipal Water Treatment Plant serving the Hollister urbanized area. The main components of the proposed West Hills WTP project include construction and operation of a raw water pump station, the West Hills WTP itself, and raw and treated water transmission pipelines.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=16641.
