Reclamation Schedules Public Meetings for Goose Bay Marina Modernization Project

BILLINGS, Mont. -- The Bureau of Reclamation's Montana Area Office has scheduled a series of three public meetings to discuss the Draft Environmental Assessment for the Goose Bay Marina Modernization Project.
The public meetings will be held at:
- Bozeman, at the Holiday Inn, 5 Baxter Lane, on Tue., Nov. 19;
- Townsend, at the Ambulance Training Room (directly across from American Federal Bank), 417 Broadway, on Wed., Nov. 20;
- Helena, at the Montana Association of Counties, 2715 Skyway Dr., Suite A, on Thur., Nov. 21.
"Reclamation looks forward to engaging stakeholders and members of the public to answer questions and get their input on the Environmental Assessment and the Goose Bay modernization plan," said Brent Esplin, Montana Area Office Manager.
Goose Bay Marina is located on the eastern shore of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, near the midway point, north of Townsend, Mont.
The Draft EA will be open for comment until Dec. 14, 2013. The meetings will be an open-house format, with technical experts and project managers available to answer questions and explain the NEPA process. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the public is welcome any time between 6-8 p.m.
