Reclamation Awards Tour Guide Contract For Glen Canyon Dam

Salt Lake City - The Bureau of Reclamation has awarded a contract to the Glen Canyon Natural History Association (GCNHA) to continue conducting guided public tours of Glen Canyon Dam and Power Plant. The contract amount is up to $862,960.

In addition to providing guided tours of the dam, the GCNHA also performs interpretative services in the Carl Hayden Visitors Center for the visiting public. The tours of the dam and power plant are free, but visitors must obtain a ticket for the tours at the visitor center. Prior to entering the center, visitors must past through security screening. Bags, backpacks, and ladies purses are not allowed. Visitors may bring cameras into the center and take them on the tour, but large camera bags are not allowed.

The Carl Hayden Visitors Center is jointly operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the National Park Service and is open daily, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years days.
