Reclamation Awards Guard Services Contract For Glen Canyon Dam

Salt Lake City - Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner John W. Keys, III announced a recently awarded contract to Page Security, Inc., to continue providing guard services for the Glen Canyon Dam and Power Plant, as well as the Carl Hayden Visitors Center. The contract amount is up to $4.15 million.

Page Security, based in Page, Arizona, provides guard services for the dam and surrounding facilities. The company also performs the entrance inspection activities and perimeter surveillance for the public visiting the Carl Hayden visitor center.

Prior to entering the visitor center and/or touring Glen Canyon Dam, visitors must pass through security screening. Bags, backpacks, and ladies purses are not allowed. Visitors may bring cameras into the center and take them on the tour, but large camera bags are not allowed. The Carl Hayden Visitors Center is jointly operated by the Bureau of Reclamation and the National Park Service and is open daily, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's days.
