Reclamation Announces Two-Year Interim Renewal Central Valley Project Water Service Contracts for Public Review and Comment

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to execute Central Valley Project two-year interim renewal water service contracts with existing contractors in the American River Division, Cross Valley, Delta Division and San Luis Unit.

All contracts will have an effective date of March 1, 2014, providing for a two-year extension of the term of the existing interim renewal contracts, which expire on February 28, 2014. These contracting actions will be supported with appropriate environmental documentation pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act and Endangered Species Act. 

The Central Valley Project contractors affected by the renewal include Placer County Water Agency, County of Tulare, County of Fresno, Hills Valley Irrigation District, Kern-Tulare Water District, Pixley Irrigation District, Tri-Valley Water District and Lower Tule River Irrigation District, City of Tracy, Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency, Santa Clara Valley Water District and Westlands Water District.
