Reclamation Releases Final Environmental Documents for Two Projects to Propagate and Reintroduce Endangered Plant Species

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation today released final environmental documents for two endangered plant propagation and reintroduction projects funded by the Central Valley Project Conservation and Habitat Restoration Programs. 

  • Reclamation provided $272,968 to Santa Clara University to propagate and reintroduce the federally endangered Metcalf Canyon jewelflower on suitable habitat within its current and historic range in southern Santa Clara County, Calif.
  • Reclamation provided $248,356 to Vollmar Natural Lands Consulting to propagate and reintroduce the federally endangered large-flowered fiddleneck on suitable habitat within its current and historic range in Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Joaquin Counties, Calif.


The Final Environmental Assessments and Findings of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at:
