Reclamation Announces Negotiations With the City of Tracy for Long-Term Central Valley Project Water Supply Contract

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation is reinitiating negotiations with the city of Tracy to negotiate terms and conditions for  long-term renewal of its water supply contract for water from the Central Valley Project.

The city of Tracy has an existing water supply contract that provides for the delivery of water from the Delta-Mendota Canal, a feature of the Central Valley Project. Contract renewal is undertaken pursuant to the Central Valley Project Improvement Act. Negotiations with the city have been ongoing since 2004. The last session took place in April 2010. The parties are reinitiating negotiations in an effort to finalize a long-term renewal contract consistent with CVPIA. The negotiation session will be held:
