and follow the instructions for connecting to the WebEx meeting.

This is the first of a series of meetings planned for the studies. This meeting will introduce the studies and describe opportunities for additional public involvement in their development. The purpose of the studies is to identify strategies to meet current and future water demands, as well as to adapt to potential climate change impacts in the basins. The studies were initiated as part of the Department of the Interior WaterSMART (Sustain and Manage America’s Resources for Tomorrow) Program.

Building on previous and ongoing work in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Basins, the studies are projected to be completed in October 2014. The Study team will utilize the information and experience available in the basins from interested individuals and organizations as input for the development of the studies.

The studies are being cost-shared by Reclamation with the California Department of Water Resources, California Partnership for San Joaquin Valley, Stockton East Water District, Madera County Resource Management Agency, El Dorado County Water Agency, Friant Water Authority, and Mountain Counties Water Resources Association.
