Reclamation Releases Environmental Document for Interim Services at Lake Berryessa Recreation Areas

NAPA, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released an Environmental Assessment for interim services at the Oak Shores Day Use Area and at the Putah Canyon, Monticello Shores, Berryessa Point, Spanish Flat and Steele Canyon recreation areas. Lake Berryessa is located in Napa County, Calif.
The award of interim concession contracts is dependent upon commercial interest, and the contracts are expected to be between one and four years in length. If interim concession contracts are not awarded, Reclamation proposes to provide recreation services at the recreation areas.
Interim concession contractors would be provided with some government-furnished facilities such as picnic tables, fire rings, concrete vault toilets, water wells and electrical hook-ups. These facilities would remain as the property of the United States. Interim concession contractors would be encouraged to expand the amenities to include such services as temporary wet slips, dry storage, fuel service, lodging, retail stores, food services and other services and amenities.
