Reclamation Announces the Reopening of Buck Brush Day Use Area at New Melones Lake

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that it has reopened Angels Creek Access Road to the Buck Brush Day Use Area at New Melones Lake following completion of maintenance work on trails.

A portable restroom will be available for use in the Buck Brush Day Use Area parking lot. The Angels Creek Boat Launch Area will continue to be closed due to low lake levels.

Information regarding the Buck Brush Day Use Area and other recreational sites at the lake is available at the New Melones Visitor Center, 6850 Studhorse Flat Road, Sonora, CA 95370. The visitor center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
