Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Ivanhoe Irrigation District’s Control System Project

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Bureau of Reclamation has made available for public review draft environmental documents for the Ivanhoe Irrigation District Control System Project, which would be funded under the WaterSMART Water and Energy Efficiency Grant Program.

Reclamation would provide a $300,000 grant to the district, located in Tulare County, for installation of control system equipment and three pumps, as well as associated construction work. Under the WaterSMART program, Reclamation provides cost-share funding on a competitive basis for water conservation and energy efficiency projects.

The Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and may be viewed online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=11450.
