Draft Environmental Documents Available for Four Assignments between Contractors within Friant Division

FRESNO, Calif. — The Bureau of Reclamation today announced the availability of four sets of draft environmental documents for assignments of Central Valley Project water between Friant Division and other Central Valley Project contractors located within the Friant Division Service Area.

All of the districts involved in the proposed contract water supply assignments are located within Fresno or Tulare counties. The assignments include: Exeter Irrigation District to Tri-Valley Water District; Tea Pot Dome Water District to Saucelito Irrigation District; Lewis Creek Water District to Hills Valley Irrigation District; and Porterville Irrigation District to Hills Valley Irrigation District.

The Draft Environmental Assessments and Findings Of No Significant Impacts (EA/FONSI) were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available online at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=10390.
