STONYFORD, Calif. — The Bureau of Reclamation announced today that East Park Reservoir in Colusa County, about 100 miles northwest of Sacramento, Calif., will reopen to recreational activities at noon on Friday, July 20, following closure due to wildfires in the area.
The reservoir was closed on Monday, July 9, due to safety concerns that included air quality and emergency firefighting vehicles and aircraft operating in the area. With control of the fires, Reclamation is reopening the reservoir for picnicking, camping, boating and other recreational activities.
For additional information on the reopening, please contact John Cody, Park Ranger, East Park and Stony Gorge Reservoirs, Bureau of Reclamation, at 530-968-5267.
