Reclamation Releases Draft Environmental Documents for Two Central Valley Project Annual Water Transfers to the Angiola Water District Over a Nine-Year Period

FRESNO, Calif. — The Bureau of Reclamation has released for public review the Draft Environmental Assessment and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for the proposed annual transfer of up to 1,300 acre-feet per year of Mercy Springs Water District’s Central Valley Project (CVP) water and up to 4,000 acre-feet per year of Fresno Slough Water District’s CVP water over a nine-year period to the Angiola Water District.

The Mercy Springs Water District and the Fresno Slough Water District are located in Fresno County, Calif. The Angiola Water District is located in southeastern Kings and western Tulare County, Calif.

The Draft EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=10191.
