SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation today released a Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact (EA/FONSI) for the construction of a Demonstration Treatment Facility (Facility) within the geographical boundaries of Panoche Drainage District’s existing San Joaquin River Improvement Project near Firebaugh, California.

The primary purpose of the Facility is to demonstrate and operate the reverse osmosis and selenium biotreatment technologies described in the San Luis Drainage Feature Re-Evaluation Feasibility Report in order to collect cost and performance data required for final design of the corresponding full-scale drainage service treatment components.
