Reclamation Schedules Long-Term Water Service Contract Renewal Negotiations with Sacramento Municipal Utility District

FOLSOM, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation is continuing negotiations with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District on contract terms and conditions for renewal of their existing long-term water service contract within the American River Division of the Central Valley Project. This renewal contract will be updated to reflect existing law and policy governing Reclamation water service contracts. The goal of the negotiations is to arrive at a mutually agreeable long-term contract.
The negotiation session is scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, June 6, 2012
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend the negotiations and will have the opportunity to provide comments to Reclamation regarding this contracting action; participation instructions will be available at the session. The proposed contract and other pertinent documents will also be available at the session.
Due to security requirements, individuals are asked to preregister 2 days in advance by contacting Lucille Billingsley at 916-989-7121 (TTY 916-989-7285) or lbillingsley@usbr.gov. Attendees will be required to show a photo ID in order to obtain a visitor’s badge.
