Bureau of Reclamation to Increase Releases in the Lower American River

Reclamation will increase releases in the Lower American River below Nimbus Dam from 2,500 to 8,000 cubic feet second (cfs) on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at 8 p.m. The increase is for flood control and fishery management. The 8,000-cfs flow will continue for 2 days, ending Friday, February 11, 2005, at 8 p.m.
