Reclamation Announces Day Use Fee to be Waived at New Melones Lake on Saturday, September 24, 2011, for National Public Lands Day

The Bureau of Reclamation, Central California Area Office, announces that in celebration of National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 24, 2011, New Melones Lake will waive the $8 Day Use fee for all visitors on that day. All other fees still apply.

National Public Lands Day is the Nation's largest annual hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the Nation's public lands. New Melones Lake will celebrate National Public Lands Day with opportunities to volunteer to assist with trail restoration, trash removal and other hands-on projects on Saturday, October 22, 2011. More information about the clean-up event, including registration information, will be announced in the near future.
