Environmental Documents Available for Partial Assignment of 5,000 Acre-Feet of Southern San Joaquin Municipal Utility District's Central Valley Project Water to Kern-Tulare Water District

The Bureau of Reclamation today released draft environmental documentation for a project involving the assignment of a portion (5,000 acre-feet) of Southern San Joaquin Municipal Utility District’s (SSJMUD) allocation of Central Valley Project water to Kern-Tulare Water District, and the consequent reduction of SSJMUD’s supplementary water supply.

The draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. If you encounter problems accessing the documents, please call 916-978-5100 or e-mail ibr2mprpao@usbr.gov.
