Reclamation Awards $977,518 Contract for Bank Stabilization at Lake Roosevelt

The Bureau of Reclamation awarded a $977,518 contract to stabilize a portion of the bank on Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake, also known as Lake Roosevelt, just northwest of Kettle Falls, Wash.

LKE Corporation of Washougal, Wash., was awarded the contract on September 7, 2011. Work includes adding rock fill, applying geotextile fabric, furnishing topsoil, and seeding and mulching the bank slopes.

Work is expected to start in Spring 2012 and completed by November 2012. Supplies will be delivered on-site this fall.

Lake Roosevelt is located within Grant, Lincoln, Ferry, Okanogan, and Stevens Counties, Washington. It is part of the Columbia Basin Project and is formed by Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River near Coulee Dam, Wash.
