Reclamation Hires Manager for Lower Marias Unit and Milk River Project

Bureau of Reclamation Montana Area Manager Susan Kelly today announced the appointment of Ed Hedlund as the Tiber Field Office Manager.

"Ed will be responsible for all facility operation and maintenance and recreation activities for the Lower Marias Unit and the Milk River Project," Kelly said. She said the facilities owned and operated by Reclamation include Tiber Dam, Fresno Dam, Lake Sherburne Dam, St. Mary Diversion Dam, and St. Mary Canal. Reclamation staff also manages recreation facilities at Tiber, Fresno, and Nelson Reservoirs. Hedlund will supervise Reclamation staff at Tiber Dam near Chester, Fresno Dam near Havre, and Camp 9 near Babb.

Hedlund earned a construction engineering degree from Montana State University, Bozeman, and is registered professional civil engineer in Arizona and Montana. He has previously worked with the U.S. Forest Service, City of Seattle, and ten years with the Montana Department of Transportation.

Kelly said, "Ed will provide the additional management focus at the field level needed to address complex issues and expanding workload associated with Reclamation facilities on the Hi Line."
