The Bureau of Reclamation has signed a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment (EA) on demolition and removal of the Battle Mountain Community Pasture barn. The barn is part of Reclamation's Humboldt Project, which is operated and managed by the Pershing County Water Conservation District. The barn is unusable and no longer structurally sound, and its removal is necessary for safety reasons. The Battle Mountain Community Pasture barn is located east of the town of Battle Mountain, on the north side of I-80.

The EA/FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and may be viewed online. If you encounter problems accessing the documents online, please call 916-978-5100 (TTY 916-978-5608) or e-mail mpPublicAffairs@usbr.gov.
