Trenton Dam Road Scheduled to close for Maintenance

The Bureau of Reclamation awarded a construction contract of $377,361.29 to Aspen Construction Co. of Hackensack, Minn., for routine maintenance repairs to the bridge across the spillway at Trenton Dam.

The work is scheduled to begin June 13th and is anticipated to be complete near the end of July. Recreation road 44B across Trenton Dam will be closed for the duration of construction. Traffic will be detoured via State Highway 25 through the city of Trenton, Neb.

Trenton Dam, located 2.5 miles west to the town of Trenton is a feature of the Frenchman-Cambridge Division, providing flood control for areas downstream of the dam, irrigation water, fish and wildlife conservation enhancement, and recreational opportunities.
