Reclamation Seeks Public Comments on Plan to Rehabilitate Historic Buildings in Boulder City, Nevada

The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking public input on a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the rehabilitation of its Date Street 100 and Date Street 200 Buildings in Boulder City, Nevada. Under the proposed action, Reclamation would rehabilitate these historic structures for training, conference, office, and records storage purposes. The new designs and appearance of the buildings would be compatible with the Boulder City Historic District in which they are located.
The Draft EA, prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), evaluates a proposed action and a "no action" alternative and addresses the potential effects to various critical resources.
Comments from the public on the Draft EA are appreciated and will be considered in the final version of the document. Reclamation will use this Draft EA, available on-line at http://www.usbr.gov/lc/region/g2000/envdocs.html, and any comments received to determine if the proposed action will have any significant impacts. If none are identified, Reclamation will issue a Final EA and a Finding of No Significant Impact. If significant issues are identified, Reclamation will consider the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement.
