The Bureau of Reclamation announces that Boca Dam road will be closed to car and truck traffic beginning Friday, April 1, 2011, to implement the security plan for Boca Dam. The closure will likely last throughout the summer. Reclamation identified the need to limit public access to the dam to address security concerns and provide protection for the public and lands downstream. Pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycle use of the road across Boca Dam will be allowed during the road closure.
