Reclamation Announces Selection of Lynn Pilgrim-Little as Park Manager for Lake Berryessa

The Bureau of Reclamation announces the selection of Lynn Pilgrim-Little as Park Manager for Lake Berryessa in Napa County, Calif. Ms. Pilgrim-Little will assist the Central California Area Office manager, Mike Finnegan, in the management of recreation, natural and cultural resources, and visitor services at Lake Berryessa.

From 2000-2007, she worked as an environmental and protected-area consultant with the InterAmerican Development Bank in park systems throughout South America.

A 16-year veteran of the National Park Service, Pilgrim-Little was principally employed as director of planning, park manager, program manager and park planner at several locations, including park areas in the Midwest Region, Washington D.C. and New York.

"Lynn is happy to return to her home state of California, and we are pleased to have her join the Area Office team" said Mr. Finnegan. "With her diverse background in environmental conservation and education, park management, facility planning and public outreach, she will be a tremendous asset to our continued development of improved facilities, services and programs for the recreating public at Lake Berryessa."

Pilgrim-Little will manage recreation, concession and resource management activities at Lake Berryessa, a part of Reclamation's Solano Project. Built during the 1950s and early 1960s, the Solano Project distributes agricultural water to farmland in Solano County and municipal and industrial water to the county's principle cities, including Vacaville, Vallejo and Fairfield. The Solano Project's primary features include Monticello Dam and Lake Berryessa, Putah Diversion Dam and Lake Solano and the Putah South Canal.

Pilgrim-Little holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980 and earned a Masters of International Business Administration from the American Graduate School in Phoenix, Ariz., in 1985. She also earned a Masters of Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., in May 2009.
