Reclamation and City of Fernley to Reschedule December Negotiation Meetings for Water Storage Contract

The Bureau of Reclamation and the city of Fernley have cancelled the December 1 and December 15 negotiation meetings for a water storage contract which had been announced previously. The negotiations are anticipated to be rescheduled for February and March 2011.

Under Title II of Public Law 101-618, Section 205(b)1, Reclamation is authorized to enter into contracts for the use of water storage space in Truckee River reservoirs. Contracts must be consistent with terms and conditions defined in the Truckee River Operating Agreement.
