The Bureau of Reclamation has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact on a proposal to construct a fish barrier, remove nonnative fishes, and restore native fishes in the Blue River drainage, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Greenlee and Apache counties, Arizona. The site of the proposed fish barrier is 12 miles northeast of Clifton, Ariz.

The action is intended to protect an existing population of threatened loach minnow and restore populations of roundtail chub and threatened spikedace. The draft Environmental Assessment was released in July 2010. After considering public comments, Reclamation has determined that the proposed native fish restoration project will not significantly impact the environment.

Questions may be directed to Mr. John McGlothlen of Reclamation's Phoenix Area Office Environmental Resource Management Division, at (623) 773-6256.
