The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled a public session to negotiate new contracts with three existing long-term water service contractors, the city of Fresno, Gravelly Ford Water District, and Fresno County Waterworks No. 18, in the Friant Division of the Central Valley Project.

Reclamation has been directed to convert, by Dec. 31, 2010, the existing Friant Division long-term water service contracts to repayment contracts under mutually agreeable terms and conditions pursuant to the Reclamation Project Act of 1939 and the San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Act. The negotiation session will be held in:

Fresno Wed., Sept. 8 9:30 a.m. South-Central California Area Office 1243 N Street

The public is welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to comment. Participation instructions will be provided at the beginning of the session, along with pertinent documents.
