Reclamation Announces Continuation of Negotiations With Cross Valley for Water Service Renewal Contracts

The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled continuing negotiations with seven existing Cross Valley contractors, including the county of Fresno, to negotiate long-term renewal contracts for water service.

Reclamation and the Cross Valley contractors have entered into successive, short-term renewals of an existing contract. The negotiation session will address mutually beneficial, long-term renewal contracts for delivery of Central Valley Project water.

The Cross Valley contractors are the Hills Valley Irrigation District, Kern-Tulare Water District, Lower Tule River Irrigation District, Pixley Irrigation District, Tri-Valley Water District, the county of Tulare, and the county of Fresno.

The negotiation session will be held in Fresno, Monday, August 30, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at the South-Central California Area Office, 1243 "N" St. The public is welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to comment.
