Interim Delta Action Plan."  An e-mail address will be provided during the broadcast that will enable
the public to submit comments and questions during the meeting.

In April 2010, the Department of the Interior, Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture, Department of the Army, EPA, Council on Environmental Quality, California State Water Resources Control Board, California Department of Water Resources, and California Department of Public Health co-hosted a kickoff event, the Water Conservation and Recycling Roundtable.  The Roundtable was a key step towards the agencies' common goal of finding long-term solutions to meet California's water supply and environmental challenges.

Since the Roundtable, the partner agencies have developed several proposed demonstration projects.  At the August 30 meeting, the partner agencies will describe these proposed projects, and the public will be able to ask questions and provide oral and/or written comments and suggestions.  Following the meeting, the public may submit their questions and comments through the project website at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/pa/h2ogoals

The Roundtable and upcoming public meeting fulfill a requirement of the 2009 Interim Federal Action Plan, available online.  The plan encourages smarter supply and use of Bay-Delta water by intensifying and aligning federal water conservation and recycling efforts with those of the State and impacted communities, while supporting water efficiency and conservation in agriculture.  Bringing together the State and federal partners shows the value the Administration places on collaboration.

Information on the federal-State partnership is available online.  Please visit http://www.calepa.ca.gov/EPABldg/location.htm for directions to the Cal/EPA building and parking information.
